Dynamic and Compassionate Counseling

About Me

I am an Artist and Psychotherapist based in Los Angeles. I earned my Masters Degree in Expressive therapy at Pratt Institute in Brooklyn, New York. Upon returning to Los Angeles, I became a clinician at the prestigious Maple Counseling Center where I was trained in Psychodynamic Counseling, also known as traditional Freudian talk therapy. In 2015 I became the head of Providence Tarzana Medical Center's Child Life department where I provided psychosocial support to children and families in the Hospital environment.

Throughout my ten years of practice in New York City and Los Angeles, I have worked in various clinical settings and have helped people struggling with depression, anxiety, relationship issues, new medical diagnoses, chronic pain, grief, transitions and trauma. I supplement my Psychodynamic and Expressive work with Somatic, Play, Mindfulness, Humanistic and Attachment based theories.

Given my background in the arts my therapeutic approach works well with creative professionals across all industries including, creative professionals in the fields of technology, advertising, art, design, music, dance and entertainment.

I am currently accepting new clients in private practice and welcome opportunities to hold Creative Arts Therapy workshops.

Adult Psychotherapy

I offer 50-minute psychotherapy sessions for individual adults. Individual therapy offers a unique haven for one to feel fully seen and heard. In my practice, we will explore your personal needs and challenges with the goal of maintaining wellness, empowerment, and transformation through self-awareness. In the process of building a trusted relationship, we will uncover core issues that may have lead to personal blockages.

Adolescent + Child Psychotherapy

I offer 50-minute psychotherapy sessions for individual Child and teen clients. The emphasis of adolescent and child work is to work on attachment issues, behavioral issues, depression, anxiety, processing loss, parental divorce, socialization issues, life transitions and academic/school related problems. Therapy with with Adolescents encompasses art therapy and talk therapy.

Family Psychotherapy

I offer 50-minute to 90-minute Family Therapy Sessions. The emphasis in family work is to work on communication within the family.  Family therapy seeks to reduce distress and conflict by improving the systems of interactions between family members. Family therapy can help sort out family medical issues, family addiction, family mental health issues, parenting, blended families, life transitions, dealing with addiction of a loved one, births, deaths, crisis, aging, caregiving, roles and responsibilities, and grief.

Art Group Workshops

I offer 90-minute clay and art therapy workshops.   Clay and art based groups allow participants to be creative and exercise expressive capabilities while giving one space and time to process big themes in life. In clay and art based process groups we will make art, learn various art based techniques, examine our art and respond to others' art within a nurturing and supportive environment.  Groups of six are encouraged.

*Sessions are typically held weekly on a private pay basis.  I can provide superbills monthly if you would like to bill your own insurance. I am currently providing therapy through tele-health due to COVID-19.
